Under contract to Parks Australia, Njanjma Rangers already provide ranger talks to tourists at Ubirr – and this has been very well received.

  • Maintain quality of product and service as per 2011/12
  • Increase Bininj staff numbers across all activities and obligations of Manbiyarra Visitor Precinct (MVP) management
  • Ensure the workplace doubles as a place of learning in addition to a place of business
  • Ensure a consistent supply of local produced literature
  • Ensure a consistent supply of local produced souvenirs particularly those promoting DAI/KCT/LVP and Njanjma brand.
  • Ensure a consistent supply of quality locally produced arts and crafts of various media suitable to the walk in tourist market
  • Develop and manage a designated information desk with point of sale for all KCT tourism products and services; including accommodation, camping fees and West Arnhem Land permits.
  • Develop and manage interpretive infrastructure, information and activities that highlight the natural and cultural significance of the Manbiyarra District in Kakadu National Park
  • Enhance visitor comfort and increase length of stay through the provision of powered sites and budget accommodation options for FIT’s
  • Enhance visitor comfort and increase length of stay through the re-development of the Border Store Backpackers
